Why should I get a wig unit?
They are comparable to a sew-in however, they will last much longer and are more convenient. Wigs are a protective style and put less tension on your hair than a sew-in. Having wig units allows you to have access to different looks on a daily basis. They are looked at as an investment because each unit can last 1+ years and be reused many times.
Will you repair work from other wig makers?
-Yes I will. There is a $25 fee on top of the service cost. This requires a free consultation so we can examine the unit and give you an accurate quote based on what needs to be done.
Is there a warranty?
Yes!! There is a 2-week warranty that covers the quality of the wig (fit, sewing structure, cap, band/combs) If you have an issue, contact me within 2 weeks of receiving your wig unit and it will be fixed for FREE. Issues concerning measurements only apply if a BGT team member measures the client.
Do you require a deposit?
Yes, half of your total. Ready to Ship wigs are to be paid in full.
How do I pay for my unit?
If a deposit is made the remaining balance can be paid through Cash App or Invoice. Custom wigs can be paid through an invoice. All other purchases will be made directly through the site.
How long does it take to complete a wig unit?
We usually ask for 1-3 weeks depending on how many orders we have at the time.
Maintenance orders will be completed in 4-10 business days.
I need my unit done in 2 days, can you do that?
We do accept rush orders for an additional $75. Rush orders will be completed within 72 hours.
How do you know what size to make it?
When you drop off your hair we will measure your head. If you are out of town or not available, we will send you a diagram to follow and you will measure your head and send us the measurements.
What kind of cap do you use?
We use either a mesh dome cap or a ventilated adjustable cap.
How will it stay on my head if you don’t install?
Our wig units are ready to wear. This means an install is not needed for it to securely stay on your head. Each unit is equipped with combs and/or an elastic band to keep your wig unit in place. Frontal wigs may require adhesive.
How should I wear my hair under my unit?
We HIGHLY suggest you wear your hair in FLAT braids (at least 6) and wear a wig cap under your unit. This will protect your hair and allow the unit to fit more securely.
I don’t have enough hair for the combs to hold on to. Can I still wear a wig?
Yes!
My closure/frontal is balding, what do I do?
-Frontals are high maintenance and are not meant to be long lasting pieces. If you use any kind of adhesive in your frontal, expect to replace it every 2-4 installs.
-Closures usually need to be replaced every 4-6 months depending on how often you wear your unit.
How do I take care of my hair?
-Treat it like it’s yours!!
-Thoroughly shampoo and deep condition every 2-3 weeks. Comb the conditioner through tip to root.
-Use sulfate free, moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. Do not use Organix Argan Oil (blue bottles)...you can use the Organix Coconut Milk (white bottles)
-Do not comb through hair roughly while tangled, this will cause shedding and your lace piece will bald faster.
-I recommend air-drying only
-When styling with hot tools, I recommend a heat protectant spray
-Curly hair requires a lot of moisture...frequent deep conditioning, leave in conditioner. You can also keep a spray bottle with water and leave in conditioner with you.
-We do not recommend putting heat on the Deep Wave hair, it can change the pattern.
